JUST NEXT TO THE ENTRANCE OF THE BUILDING, A LARGE COLLECTIVE CARPARK AND A LOCKED ROOM FOR BICYCLES ARE AVAILABLE AND FREE, WHICH IS QUITE PRACTICAL IF YOU COME WITH YOUR OWN BIKES OR WISH TO RENT SOME !! (OF COURSE, I WILL GIVE YOU THE KEY TO ACCESS THE ROOM FOR BICYCLES ;o))

THE HOME

Hello and thanks so much for stopping at my studio's add! Did you ever wish to come to France and why not visit Paris, its capital city?? Well, I tell you something: exchange an apartment with someone here in Paris for a week... and then, stay for one more week in France, far away from the stressful life in Paris, in my studio in Deauville, with view on the beach and AT THE BEACH!! (only 2 hours away from Paris by car -highway- or train!) The studio that I bought as a second home for week-ends and vacations at the beach (I live in the surbubs of Paris) and that I rent from time to time, has been completely restored at the beginning of 2007 with all confort and luxuous apparels (TV with flat screen, DVD, etc...) I designed everything inside. You might think it's a little "flashy" and you may be right, but please keep in mind that I did my best and that my studio is like my "baby": it's full of color, happiness, life, and I printed it with my heart and soul :-) Please take care of it... as much as I'll take care of your own house/apartement ;o))

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

I bought this studio summer 2006, it was awful (the former owner didn't do anything to improve it since 1975 when it was built!!) but I bought it for the lovely view on the Trouville beach and its Casino (gambling) (please note that Trouville is the little town just next to Deauville, you can go there by walk ;-) The studio is located in the port of Deauville called "Les Marinas" with all ships around, it's a very calm and quiet area. The beaches from Deauville and Trouville with all water sport activities, Thalasso, Mickey Mouse Club for children, etc... are 400 meters away or so from the studio, and Deauville's downtown center with all shops and fancy restaurants is 8 minutes by walk away from the studio and the train station 900 meters away from the studio. Please not that if you decide to come at the beginning of September, every year, it's the "American Film Festival" here in Deauville. It's pretty famous!! Have you heard about it?? If not, you can get all informations about it at the bottom of this page (just scroll down ;-))

Deauville is located in the "Cote Fleurie" area, very charming part of France with beautiful landscapes, trust me on that please (just google it ;o)) and very pleasant little towns or villages like : Honfleur, Cabourg, Beuvron-en-Auge, Caen, etc... Deauville is also very close from Omaha Beach (debarquement) and you can take in Ouistreham, only 43 kms away from Deauville, the Brittany Ferries to go accross the "Manche"... to England, Scotland, Ireland and even London !! Just go and say "hi" to the Greenwitch meridian at Villers-sur-Mer, 7 kms away from Deauville ;o)

Hellooooooooo!!!! I'm Olivier. Nice meeting YOU!! ;o)) I just turned 31 years old. I grew up in Grenoble city, south east of France in the Alpes mountains but left my native town for love and also work! (Much more jobs opportunities here in Paris...) I want to surprise my friend with little trips everywhere thanks to this "home for exchange program" ;o)) I'm a recruiter -human resources- for a finance company here in Paris, city where I live in the surburbs. I've been living for one year (it was in '96) in Santa Barbara, CA,USA, as I was a foreign student... So I can speak English even though I still make some grammar and spelling mistakes (sorry about that) but you shall feel very welcome to write to me in English, I should understand (and I'll keep my English dictionary not too far away from me!! ;o)) So... let's get connected!!
